The residents of Sderot petitioned the Supreme Court claiming that the government has not fulfilled its obligations toward its citizens, as it has not concerned itself with protecting private homes.
The court responded:
“Within the framework of governmental policy, it is not given that the individual residence of Sderot must receive compensation for expenses for protecting their personal homes… Protection of the State is an enormous project that should be carried out by the government according to its considerations… We have not found that we should interfere with the operation of the government it his area.”
