Four rockets exploded in open areas in Southern Israel. Up to one million Israelis heard the Code Red alarm sounded on Friday night at around 10:30 PM in the Sha’ar Ha’Negev, Sderot area and in Southern Israel. No one was hurt. It was the heaviest rocket barrage fired at Israel in the past two months. The IDF said the rockets were fired from the Northern Gaza Strip.

The siren sounded less than one hour after two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded when shots were fired from a passing car near a checkpoint on the 443 road towards Jerusalem, near Beit Horon area.
