Michael Bloomberg the Mayor of NYC, paid a visit to the region, first visiting Ashkelon and later on Sderot. As part of his solidarity tour in Sderot, Mr. Bloomberg visited the family home of Mesodi Dayan, the 70-year-old woman who was injured this morning at 8:30 when a Palestinian rocket slammed into her home. Mesodi was slightly injured by rocket shrapnel, and most of her home suffered heavy damage from the rocket attack, making it uninhabitable. Mesodi has temporarily moved in with her daughter who lives in another area of Sderot.

Bloomber evaluated the damages in a show of solidarity and support for Israel in its military action in Gaza against the Hamas terrorist regime.
